CAHN brings great news: they are about to face 5 Japanese teams in the AFC Champions League.

CAHN has renewed Leo Artur's contract through 2028, further solidifying the team core before the 2026/27 campaign. The public security club will encounter a tough fixture list in the AFC Champions League Elite, taking on 5 Japanese sides.

According to an announcement from the police club, Leo Artur has signed a new contract lasting until the end of the 2027/28 season. This means the Brazilian star will continue his long-term association with Hang Day Stadium, despite interest from many clubs following his impressive performances for CAHN.

Joining the capital club from Binh Dinh in the summer of 2024, Leo Artur quickly established a crucial role in coach Alexandre Polking's tactical system. With excellent technical skills, high game-breaking ability, and flexible attacking play, the number 10 shirt wearer has become one of CAHN's most prominent figures in the last two seasons.

In the 2025/26 V-League season, Leo Artur scored 10 goals and contributed significantly to the police club's championship. Alongside Alan Grafite, Nguyen Quang Hai, and Nguyen Dinh Bac, the Brazilian foreign player formed one of the most creative and effective attacks in the league.

Keeping Leo Artur is part of CAHN's strategy to maintain the squad core ahead of a season where the team will compete on multiple fronts. Previously, the reigning V-League champions also extended contracts with several key figures, such as goalkeeper Nguyen Filip until 2029, midfielder Stefan Mauk until 2028, and retained Nguyen Dinh Bac at the club.

At home, CAHN will successively host Kashima Antlers, Vissel Kobe, Beijing FC, and Kyoto Sanga. Meanwhile, the away trips for coach Polking's squad will take place at Shanghai Port, Johor Darul Ta'zim, Kashiwa Reysol, and Gamba Osaka.

Especially, the trip to Johor Darul Ta'zim's stadium along with 2 matches in Japan are predicted to be significant challenges for the Vietnamese representative. This season's AFC Champions League Elite also marks the first time CAHN has appeared in the League Stage after defeating Adelaide United 2-0 on Australian soil in the play-off round.
