1On August 13, Beijing time, exclusive information from Argentine journalist César Luis Merlo states that Manchester City has officially bid €120 million to Chelsea before the deadline, targeting Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández.

The journalist added that Manchester City chose to make this financial effort due to the explicit request of manager Maresca. The coach is applying pressure to finalize the transfer and has instructed the club to do everything possible to sign the Argentine midfielder, insisting he is irreplaceable.

Previously, Maresca had a very positive working relationship with Enzo during his time at Chelsea. With Rodri potentially leaving this summer, Maresca has identified Enzo as his designated successor.

At present, Chelsea's response remains unknown. The Blues value their captain at £120 million (approximately €139 million) and have set a deadline for Manchester City: they must submit a bid that meets their demands by 5 PM on Friday. City's current offer is still nearly €19 million short of Chelsea's asking price.

Enzo, 25, is contracted with Chelsea until June 2032. Last season, he played 54 matches for the club, recording 15 goals and 7 assists. Currently, his latest market value on Transfermarkt is €100 million.
