Madam Pang gives an "instant reward" to the Thai women's U20 team after their 4-1 victory over Vietnam's women's U20.

Madam Pang awards a "hot bonus" to the Thai women's U20 team and is optimistic about their chances to qualify for the 2026 Women's U20 World Cup.

Madam Pang, President of the Football Association of Thailand, called to encourage the national women's U20 team after their opening 3-2 win against Bangladesh's women's U20 and the 4-1 victory over Vietnam's women's U20. She also promised a reward of 500,000 baht (approximately 403 million Vietnamese dong) when the team officially qualifies for the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women's U20 Asian Championship, hosted by Thailand.

With 6 points secured, the Thai women's U20 team has guaranteed advancement alongside China's women's U20 before the final group match on April 7.

If they defeat China's women's U20 in the last group match, the Thai women's U20 team will top the group. In case of a draw or loss, they will still advance as the group runner-up.

The 2026 Women's U20 Asian Championship in Thailand will select four teams (i.e., the semi-finalists) to qualify for the 2026 Women's U20 World Cup held in Poland in September 2026.

The Thai women's U20 team is facing the opportunity to return to the World Cup stage after 22 years, since their last participation in 2004 when they qualified as the host nation.

In yesterday's match against Vietnam's women's U20, the Thai women's U20 team dominated. In the 11th minute, Kurisara Limpawanich opened the scoring for the host team. By the 21st minute, Rinyaphat headed in to make it 2-0. Vietnam's women's U20 conceded a third goal in the 43rd minute after Kurisara's solo effort.

In the second half, Vietnam's women's U20 pushed forward and scored a consolation goal in the 51st minute thanks to Thùy Linh's long-range shot. However, in the 90+3rd minute, Rinyaphat sealed the 4-1 victory for Thailand with a beautiful free-kick.

After two consecutive losses, Vietnam's women's U20 are at the bottom of Group A but still have a chance to advance if they become one of the two best third-placed teams in the group stage. The match against Bangladesh's women's U20 on April 7 will be decisive for Vietnam's women's U20.
