Final round of the National U19 Championship: A surprise unfolds, champion decided

Hanoi surprised many by defeating Ho Chi Minh City in the final round of the National U19 Women's Football Championship – Acecook Cup 2026.

In the last match, Ho Chi Minh City was determined to claim another win against Hanoi. Their ambition was quickly realized when Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh scored the opening goal in the 26th minute. For the remainder of the first half, Ho Chi Minh City defended solidly, limiting Hanoi’s chances to approach the goal. The teams went into halftime with Ho Chi Minh City holding the advantage.

In the second half, Hanoi was determined to at least secure a draw by pressing forward aggressively. Their efforts were rewarded through standout performances by their players. In the 63rd minute, Nguyen Thi Thuong delivered a precise finish to equalize at 1-1 for Hanoi. The following period saw a tense battle with many exciting plays. Drama struck in the 90+3rd minute when An Hoang Cuc scored the winning goal, sealing a 2-1 victory for Hanoi.

In the other match of round 10, Thai Nguyen T&T had to win against Than Khoang San Vietnam (Than KSVN) to avoid losing the bronze medal to Hanoi. However, they faced many difficulties in the first half and failed to find a way past the opponent’s defense.

In the second half, Thai Nguyen T&T’s strong attacking pressure overwhelmed Than KSVN. Tran Thi Huong opened the scoring for the tea city team with a beautiful strike. Later, Do Thi Thuy Nga scored twice to confirm Thai Nguyen T&T’s 3-0 victory.

Thus, Phong Phu Ha Nam claimed the championship, with Ho Chi Minh City finishing as runners-up, Thai Nguyen T&T in third place, Hanoi in fourth, and Than KSVN in fifth.
